

Dorothy Jean Bartlett, age 77, of Bartlett passed away Tuesday August 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Powitzky and Alice Spiegelhauer Powitzky; her husband, Edward Bartlett Jr.; and her granddaughter, Brittany Bartlett.
She is survived by her sons, Edward “Neddy” Bartlett and wife Jonna and Bobby lee Bartlett and wife Valerie; her grandchildren, Brandi Harvell, Brooke Riggan and husband Brian, Bethany Bartlett, Brianna Bartlett, Melanie Bartlett, and Jonathan Bartlett; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Bartlett was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Dorothy will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Simply stated, Dorothy was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Dorothy leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Dorothy Bartlett.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lt. Mathew Lindemann, Sgt. Jonna Sanders, Sgt. Sam Brister, Sgt. Anthony Morehouse, Sgt. Brian Whitlow, Sgt. Amy Larson, Officer Brian Henson, Randy Rafay, and Ronnie Rafay.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 10 am at Bartlett City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Goodnight Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks you make donations to Virgina’s Hospice 986 US-84, Teague, TX 75860 (254) 739-5011.
