I had the pleasure of caring for Mrs Ashworth for several weeks before she entered a senior care facility. She was a joy to be with, full of stories of her past adventures. Betty seemed to have truly enjoyed her life as she fondly reminisced her younger days. I feel blessed to have been able to help her in her time of need.

Mrs Ashworth was my 9th grade science teacher at Lincoln. She also taught my older brother Richard. Years later, I worked with Betty in the science department at Memorial. Betty was so helpful to rookies like me and helped anyway she could. We had so much fun in our meetings and I still remember Betty's laughter.

My deepest sympathy to the family. You had an awesome, intelligent mom. You should be so proud of all her accomplishments. Who retires then works at the birding center in Weslaco. She loved science but her heart was with the birds and nature. Rest in peace in God's garden of peace and love.
