

Harriet was born in Taylor, Texas on March 28, 1943 to the late Margaret Marie Pearson Weber and Harry Carl Pearson. Harriet graduated from McCallum High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from UT Austin and two Masters in Education degrees from UT Tyler. Harriet married Sidney Kubala on December 3, 1960 and they were married for 62 years.
Harriet was a caring and dedicated educator who touched the lives of so many. She worked as an elementary school teacher, vice principal, and principal for over 40 years. Harriet enjoyed many activities such as flower gardening and bible study. She also volunteered at the Granger Food Pantry for many years.
Harriet is survived by husband Sidney, son Wayne Kubala and wife Misty, brother JB Pearson and wife Joan, sister-in-law Delores Kubala, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Harriet is preceded in death by son Barry Kubala, stepfather Lonnie Weber, and sister Ann Myer.
A funeral service for Harriet will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Taylor Brethren Church, Taylor, Texas. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery. John Pearson, Jeff Pearson, Lin Davis, Jeffrey Davis, Josh Pearson, and Jake Pearson will serve as pallbearers.

Harriet’s family wishes to thank the medical staff of Seton Ascension Hospital in Round Rock and in particular nurse Heather Pogorzelski who went above and beyond for her care.
