Josephine Evelyn (Pavlasek) Strmiska

Josephine was born on December 14, 1932, in Granger TX to loving parents Ignac and Jozefa Stojanik Pavlasek.

Josephine has been a parishioner of the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger her whole life. In addition, she belongs to SPJST #20 and is an honorary member of KJZT. She was employed by the Granger ISD and SSCM cafeterias. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary, Josie volunteered at Religious Education and Vacation Bible School.

Josephine was devoted to her husband Florian John Strmiska who passed in 2013, She is survived by her son, Bobby Strmiska (wife Susan) of Granger; her daughter Renee Clark (husband Craig) of Florence; her son James Strmiska (wife Elizabeth) of Queen Creek, Arizona; her daughter-in-law Margaret Strmiska of Granger; her grandchildren, Kim, Kelly, Tiffany, Justin, Luke, Kristin, Lauren, John, and Garrison; and 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Josephine was met at the gates of Heaven by her husband Florian, daughter Donna Leah Davidson, her son-in-law Douglas Davidson, grandson Eric Strmiska and great-grandson Cody Strmiska.

Josephine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She brought joy to our hearts and was so deeply loved and will truly be missed by us all. Especially her piggies in the blankets, sauerkraut, and buthka.

Paul Bearers are grandsons Justin Davidson, Lucas Davidson, John Clark, and Garrison Strmiska and great-grandsons Kyle Hamons and Ryan Davidson. Honorary Paul Bearers in memorandum are Eric Strmiska and Cody Strmiska.

Josephine will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Granger, TX.
