Letona Athena Rice

Services for Letona Athena Lee Rice, 94, of Elgin, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Cedar Valley Baptist Church of Elgin with Pastor Paul Stephens officiating. Friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon and a time of visitation at the church following the service. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Taylor City Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Condra Funeral Home of Taylor.

Letona Athena Lee was born March 8, 1918 in Taylor to Sidney Lee and Margaret Glass Lee and passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012. She married Albert J. Rice and enjoyed being a homemaker. She had resided in Elgin for the past 20 years. She was a 50 year member of Hadashha #188 Order of Eastern Star in Georgetown and the Cedar Valley Baptist Church.

Letona was preceded in death by her husband in 1977 and by eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two nephews, four nieces, numerous great- nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
