

Lucille was born in the Taylor area of Williamson County on November 30, 1927 to the late Adolf Remmert and Minnie Haverland Remmert.
She attended Waterloo and New Bern Schools and grew up in the Lutheran faith being baptized on January 22, 1928 in the Wuthrich Hill Church and confirmed on November 9, 1941 also in the Wuthrich Hill Church.
Lucille married Edgar Henry Rosenthal on March 22, 1946 in St. John Lutheran church in Thrall. They were married for 56 years. She worked beside her husband on the family farm near Sandoval for 26 years and moved to Thrall, Texas afterwards. Later, Lucille worked as a supervisor at Ker Ban Furniture Factory for 7 ½ years and as a lead person at Intercraft for 15 years.
Lucille loved gardening. She grew huge vegetable and flower gardens, and had a special knack for growing beautiful roses. Lucille enjoyed dancing and could be found dancing to polkas, waltzes, and two-stepping with friends on weekends. Her family and friends loved talking to her about the “old times” when she grew up and worked on the farm. She cherished her friends and enjoyed getting together with them to visit and play games. As she grew older, she looked forward to daily phone calls with friends and family. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall and looked forward to helping in the office each week preparing for the next Sunday’s service.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Minnie Remmert, her husband Edgar Rosenthal, two brothers; Gilbert and Eldo Remmert, three sisters; Edna Kaatz, Nelda Kaatz, and Bernice Werchan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucille is survived by her nephews John Kaatz and Larry Remmert; nieces Marlene Cargile, Janell Moore, Nancy Guttman, Barbara Jean Putnam, and Diana Stolle, 23 great nieces and nephews, 27 great, great nieces and nephews, and 7 great, great, great nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends.
Lucille is also survived by her extended family members; Eugenia, Drake, Davis and Camryn Ohe; Robert, Nicole, and Alex Walla; Shelby, Aaron, and Mason Ferriola; and Bo and Melissa Mckinney.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 14, 2025 from 6pm-8pm at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday March 15, 2025 at 1pm at St. John’s Church in Thrall. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
Hilton Lieberum, Robert Lieberum, Alex Walla, Travis Stolle, Davis Ohe, Joey Voight, and Joe Pedroza will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Ferriola, Larry Beran, Aaron Stolle, Ralph Remmert, Charles Remmert, John Kaatz, and Mason Ferriola.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you consider making a memorial donation in Lucille’s honor to St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall, Texas, or any organization of your choice.
