Mark Baker MacCauley, 71, of Taylor, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2021. Mark was born May 11, 1950 to Morris and Marjorie MacCauley in New Jersey. His family lived in and traveled to many places in the world including Colorado Springs, CO, Germany, and Japan, due to his dad being in the US Air Force. After graduating in 1968 from Kaiserslautern High School (Germany), Mark joined the Navy and served in The Vietnam War. He moved to Dallas where he met his wife Roxann. They got married in Austin in 1975. Together they moved to Taylor where they raised two children (twin boy and girl). In Taylor, Mark worked at American Desk, then later on at T Don Hutto Residential Center, where he retired after 15 years.
Mark was a devoted son, husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He spent his time on Earth enjoying life with his family, loving his grandkids, working hard, and helping others. He especially loved volunteering his time with his friends-turned-family at Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers David and Hugh, and his mother-in-law Leona Pfeil. He is survived by his wife Roxann MacCauley, daughter Daphne (Jacob) Martinez, son Quade MacCauley, and grandchildren Ava Martinez and Jamen Martinez.
A memorial service will be held October 2, 2021, 2:00 pm at New Life Church of Taylor open to those who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry. The family would also like to thank the staff at Baylor Scott and White Hospital for all their care given.
