It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Ramirez Soto announces her passing, due to complications of pneumonia and a battle with cancer, on Wednesday December 26th 2018, at the age of 74 years.

Mary was born, May 16th 1944, to Luz and Natividad Salazar Ramirez of San Gabriel, Texas. She resided in Thorndale and worked General Labor work, all her life until her diagnoses of multiple myloma cancer.

Mary truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with family, enjoying a good laugh, playing bingo, listening to music and watching her Spanish soap operas. She was a very strong lady, and gave a good fight until the end. She always wore a smile and gave the best hugs. One of the sweetest, most genuine people you could have ever met. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Benito Castro. Her parents, Luz and Natividad Ramirez, her brothers Celestino S Ramirez and Louis Ramirez and sister Andrea (Sandy) Bodiford.

Survived by her daughter, Monica Hernandez and husband Jose Luis of Thorndale. Brother, Pete Ramirez and wife Eliza of Belton. Sister, Gregoria Medina of Thorndale. Brother, Casper Ramirez and wife Patricia of Taylor. Sister, Lionor Riojas and husband Rodrigo of Manor. Brother, John Ramirez and wife Rosemary of Thorndale. Brother, Thomas Ramirez of Thorndale. Sister in laws, Marie Ramirez of Thorndale and Rosie Ramirez of Taylor. Brother in law, James (Jim) Bodiford of Taylor. She had numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Nephews: Jason Ramirez, Matt Bodiford, Luz Riojas, Troy Bice, Mike Beyer and Grand Godson Cirilio Reyes. We are so sorry to hear about your love one. I remember Mary when she came into Falke's Grocery when I was there with my grandparents. She was such a sweet lady. She always said hello where ever you see her. Mary is not gone, just away. God called her home to be with him in our heavenly home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless and keep you in this time of sorrow. 🙏📖✝️
