Mr. Roberto Gonzales Cortez Sr.

Mr. Roberto Gonzales Cortez Sr. died on September 16, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife Petra Gaytan Cortez. His survivors include his children Roberto Cortez, Jr. of Bartlett, Manuel G. Cortez, Sr. of San Antonio, Lidia C. Taisler of Bartlett, Beatrice C. Ramon of San Antonio, Martha G. Cortez of San Antonio, Samuel G. Cortez, Sr. of Holland, Eduardo G. Cortez of Rices Crossing, and Natalia G. Cortez of San Antonio. He also has 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mr. Cortez was one of 13 children of Federico and Leonor Cortez. His surviving siblings are Fernando Cortez, Sr. of Bartlett, Federico Cortez, Jr. of Dallas, Ofelia Perez of Bartlett, Juan Cortez of Bay City, Ramiro Cortez of Holland, Manuel Cortez of Bartlett, Estefana Miller of Taylor, Emilia Gonzales of Elgin, Anita Ortiz of Bartlett, Emelda Luna of Bartlett, Leonor Ramos of Bartlett, and Juana Luna of Bartlett. Mr. Cortez passed away while at Will-O-Bell Nursing Home in Bartlett after complications of Creutzsfeldt-Jakob Disease, a very rare brain disease.
