Sybil Theresa (Repa) Naizer passed from our world to meet her heavenly Father on October 11th, 2026 at the age of 95. She was born on Christmas Eve in 1930 in Granger, Texas, to Paul and Frances Repa. She married Daniel Naizer in June 1949, and they shared 57 years of marriage before his passing in January 2007. Sybil often said how lucky she was to have Daniel as her husband. Their love was evident in the way they cared for one another.
Sybil was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who worked alongside Daniel as a farmer’s wife. Together, they built a home on their beautiful land, creating a lifetime of family memories. She was a proud and supportive mother who volunteered at her children’s school and rarely missed their activities and games. She and Daniel also enjoyed traveling with their children, and Sybil continued to enjoy trips with them after his passing.
A lifelong member of St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Sybil and Daniel were actively involved in the Catholic school, church picnics, and bazaars. She was also a member of the Traditional Choir, KJT, and the Legion of Mary. Her faith remained central to her life, and she prayed the rosary every day.
After Daniel retired, Sybil worked at the Seventh Street Learning Center for 23 years. She had a special gift for making children feel loved and cared for, and she enjoyed reconnecting with them years later.
Sybil was a wonderful baker, known for her kolaches and cinnamon rolls, which her family considered the best. There was always something delicious waiting for visitors, as feeding others was one of the ways she showed her love. She also sewed throughout her life and later created many beautiful quilts for all her children and grandchildren, leaving them with lasting reminders of her care and devotion to her family.
Sybil enjoyed playing games and was always ready for a friendly competition. She played dominoes with her family and friends right up until the end, and heaven help you if you called while she was in the middle of a game! After moving to SPJST Assisted Living, Sybil took part in all the activities, from painting and bingo to sharing stories and visiting with friends on the porch. She also took part in the community's fishing tournaments and proudly displayed seven trophies in her room. Her competitive spirit never faded. Daniel would be so proud.
She was known for her kindness, generosity and wonderful sense of humor. Her life was filled with faith, family, friendship and laughter. She rarely complained. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome. Her baking, sewing, sharing stories and enjoying time with loved ones leaves behind memories and brings comfort and joy to those who loved her. Above all, she will be remembered for her deep faith, being a loving wife and mother, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a joyful woman who made everyone feel like family.
Sybil was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Daniel; her daughter, Catherine; her son, Daniel; her great-grandson, Liam; her brothers, Albert, Arnold, Edwin, Joe, and Gilbert; and her sisters, Mary and Edith.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Holly) and David (Janie); her daughter, Carolyn (Troy); her son-in-law, Allen; her sister, Dorothy (Lawrence); seven grandsons; two granddaughters; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
