David Scott Baker, age 52, of Tazewell, TN. Scott was born March 5, 1966 and passed away on May 14, 2018. Scott accepted Christ at a young age. He was a long haul truck driver for most of his life and enjoyed working on anything mechanical. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Monnie Baker of Tazewell, TN; as well as first cousins Angie Hurst and Anthony Hurst of Tazewell, TN; aunt Blanche (Meek) Massengill of Corbin, KY; uncles Virgil Whitaker of Monticello, IN and Cletis Lambert of Harrogate, TN. He is survived by his mother Ann Myers and stepfather D.J. "Hawk" Myers of Tazewell, TN. Step-brothers Brent Myers, Bruce (Judy) Myers both of Tazewell, TN. Step-sister Donna (Denzil) McNeilus of Dodge Center, MN. Aunts Barbara (Bill) Poore of Tazewell, TN; Betty Lambert of Harrogate TN and Juanita Whitaker of Monticello, IN. Cousins Debbie Johnson, Connie Hutchinson, Pam Parton, Steve Massengill, Melissa Massengill, Melinda Melton, Dennis Whitaker, Sandra Watkins, Kathy Lambert, Carolyn Bolton, and Allen Hurst. As well as a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday May 18th from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be Saturday May 19th at 11 AM in the Old Irish Cemetery. Ministers: Rev. George Cole and Rev. John Hatfield Singer: Barbara Hatfield Pallbearers: Allen Hurst, Brent Myers, Bruce Myers, Mark Bolton, Dennis Whitaker, Shawn Whitaker, and Denzil McNeilus Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
