
SPEEDWELL, Tenn. ¬¬– Didymas (Ditt) P. Earl, 92, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012. Born August 20, 1919, he was the son of the late George W. and Gertie Mink Earl. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Pauline Patterson Earl whom he married on November 4, 1942. Also surviving are daughter and son-in-law Bobbie L. and David Reitz of Port Clinton, Ohio; granddaughter and husband Jennifer and Frederick Cedoz of Alexandria, Virginia; and great-grandchildren Grant and Avery Cedoz; sisters Ruby Evans, Ethel Evans, and Mary Evans. He was preceded in death by brothers Hose L. Earl, Bill Earl, Otto J. Earl; sisters, Lula Gordon, Stella Honeycutt, and Dollie Evans.
He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. He worked for the Middlesboro Tanning Company and Cumberland Dairy.
Visitation will be at the Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate, Tennessee from 6-8pm Tuesday, March 13 with the Rev. Gary Mundy presiding over the funeral immediately following. Graveside service will be at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:30am on Wednesday, March 14.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Charles Treece, 250 Earls Hollow Road, Speedwell, Tennessee 37870.
