Glen William Hill, age 85, of Harrogate, Tennessee, passed away on October 18, 2020. He was born at home in Harrogate, Tennessee, on March 2, 1937. He was a resident of Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of the Harrogate United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Irene Sivils Hill; brothers, Ronald Hill, George Hill and best friend Ronnie Bussell. Glenn was an educator for 44 years. He began his career in 1961 at Hall High School in Harlan, Kentucky, as a teacher and coach. He continued teaching and coaching in Lee County, Virginia, at Pennington Gap High School and Jonesville High School. In the Claiborne county System he taught and coached at Powell Valley High School. He had 25 happy years at Forge Ridge High School. Glenn was part of the first faculty selected for Cumberland Gap High School where he completed his teaching career.
By request Glenn will be cremated and his ashes buried at the Harrogate Cemetery beside his parents. There will be a graveside service on Friday October 23, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.. The service will be officiated by Reverend Lawrence Fultz. Coffey Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
