Lester Martin

Lester “Bill” Martin, age 86, originally of Rose Hill, VA, but long term resident of Tazewell, TN. He was born August 12, 1930 and went to be with the Lord July 24, 2017 at Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tazewell, TN, where he was cared for diligently. Lester was saved later in life and baptized while in Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center by Rev. Tim Robertson, whom will be officiating the funeral. Lester was a farmer. He enjoyed playing music and life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Laura Martin; brothers and sisters, Lonnie Martin, Robert Martin, Daisy Cheek, Catherine Cheek, Jessie Martin and special sister-in-law Shelby Martin, also special great niece Chasity Michelle Louthen.

He is survived by Nephew Tommy Martin and Niece Linda Louthen whom Lester helped raise.

He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews , great nieces and great-great nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Thursday July 27, 2017 with funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Cheek Cemetery in Virginia.
