Pauline Verdia Gibson Mallicoat, age 89, of Thorn Hill, TN, was born March 30, 1929 and passed away on January 17, 2019. Pauline was saved as a young girl at Liberty Baptist Church and was a faithful member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Lucy Gibson, son Rev. David Mallicoat, daughter Dianna Mallicoat, brothers Otis (Juanita) Gibson and Hollis Gibson, daughter-in-law Linda Mallicoat, and brother-in-law Ike Harvey. Pauline is survived by her husband of 72 years Robert Ford Mallicoat. Son Danny Mallicoat of New Tazewell. Grandchildren Todd (Tandy) Mallicoat, Tony (Mary) Mallicoat, Terri (Greg) West, JoAnna (Mitch) Burke, Randy (Melissa) Roberts, Rebecca (Tony) Stansberry, and Amanda (Doug) Garland. Great grandchildren Taylor Mallicoat, Molly Mallicoat, Maggie Mallicoat, Morgan (Brett) Gazay, Kassidy West, Maycee West, Drew Dixon, Brock Dixon, Ruger West, Lily Burke, Noah Burke, Millie Roberts, Marlee Roberts, Samuel Poisal, Jacob Stansberry, Kristen Stansberry, and Madison Garland. Great great grandchildren Kambel Gazay, Kannon Gazay, and Karver Gazay. Sisters Lorine Harvey and Maggaline (Leroy) Brooks. Daughter-in-law Mary Lou Mallicoat. Sister-in-law Dorothy Gibson. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday January 19th from 4 until 7 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home, the funeral service will follow at 7 P.M. in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. The graveside service will be Sunday January 20th at 2 P.M. in the Mallicoat Cemetery in Thorn Hill. Minister: Rev. Arnold Dalton and Rev. Bob Davis Prayer: Elmer Kincaid Singers: Oak Hill Quartet and Descendants Through Grace Pallbearers: Todd Mallicoat, Tony Mallicoat, Randy Roberts, Samuel Poisal, Tony Stansberry, Greg West, Doug Garland, Mitch Burke, and Elmer Kincaid Honorary Pallbearers: Great Grandchildren Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
