

Raymond “Wayne” Bailey age 84 of Knoxville, TN was called Home on October 7, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mollie Bailey; sister Lou, and brother Don . He was born in the Little Sycamore Community in Claiborne County, Tennessee in 1929. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and was baptized in Little Sycamore Creek. He was a graduate of Knoxville Business College. At age 20, he went to work for and later managed Tri-State Sawmill Supply, retiring after 45 years in 1994. Wayne was a loving and devoted husband to the one love of his life, “Rene”. He was a loving and patient father to his children. And he was also a wonderful “Papaw” to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved being with his family. He loved to laugh and tell stories from his life, especially of his mischievous youth. He was tough as nails and never gave up. Wayne was kind and generous and had a heart of gold. We will carry him with us in our hearts but he will be sorely missed.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 P.M. Friday October 11, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral service 1:00 P.M. Saturday October 12, 2013 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Bailey Cemetery.
