Susie Mae Atkins

Susie Mae Atkins age 77 of New Tazewell, TN was born April 20, 1939 and passed away on August 15, 2016 at home surrounded by her family and friends. Susie was a loving wife for 47 years and a devoted mother for 38.

Susie was preceded in death by her mother Gladys Keck, a cousin raised in her home like a brother Embry Keck, and brothers in law Harry Atkins, LB Atkins, and Herman Atkins.

Susie is survived by her husband of 47 yeas Dan Atkins.

Daughter: Janie Atkins.

Cousin Bruce Keck who was also raised like her brother and wife Sherlock.

Sisters in Law: Marie Nunn, Lorraine Harwick, and Mary Lou.

Brothers in Law: Dewey Atkins and Don Atkins.

Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews with whom she shared close relationships.

The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 9 PM Tuesday August 16, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday August 17, 2016 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow in the Edwards Cemetery.
