Erma L. Green Sizeland

She graduated from Tekonsha High School in 1936. She was a member of the last graduating class of Calhoun county Normal in 1937. She received Bachelor and Master Degrees from Western Michigan university in Kalamazoo. Erma was a teacher in several rural schools and Tekonsha and Homer schools for 36 years.

She married Robert James Sizeland in Tekonsha on July 26, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by brothers; Harold Greene, Earl Green and a sister, Ruth Green Humeston.

Erma was a member of the Union Church United Church of Christ, a member of the Women’s Fellowship and a Sunday School teacher for many years.

She is survived by nieces and nephews; Marjorie Sizeland Shedd of Albion, Gerry & Bonnie Greene of Tecumseh, Michael & Donna Humeston of Athens and Robert & Marilyn Humeston of Mansfield, OH

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 12:00 Noon with two hours of visitation prior to the service at the Union Church United Church of Christ in Tekonsha with Rev. Barbara Pryor officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Union Church United Church of Christ or the Tekonsha Historical Society.
