Alexander Royce Diaz, age 4, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Saturday March 31, 2018.

Alexander was born June 4, 2013, the beloved son of Gwendelynn Marie Donnelly and Matthew Mac Diaz. In addition to his parents, Alexander is survived by his brothers, Matthew Diaz, Jr. and Lincoln Diaz; and grandparents, Krista Rotondo (Roberto Gonzalez), Paul Donnelly, Damaris Martinez and Jose Ramon Diaz.

A visitation for Alexander will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory, 12690 N 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.

So sorry for the loss of such a young life. So much life that was not lived, but touched so many hearts in such a short time. This angel will be watching over others that need guidance and comfort forever in their hearts.

Biography

      When Alexander Royce Diaz walked into the room, those in his company felt energy, an enthusiastic spontaneity. This was just one example of who Alexander was and how he impacted those around him. Alexander was a clever and gregarious person who always sought out the finest attributes in other people. It was as if Alexander wanted to share all of their experiences, revel in their lives and celebrate their discoveries. Alexander was tireless and had boundless enthusiasm that would serve him well throughout his life.

      Alexander was born on June 4, 2013 at st josephs in tampa fl. He was the son of matthew diaz and gwendelynn donnelly. Alexander was raised in florida and newyork. Always at the ready with a good joke, he grew up to be quite a humorous person. While some who knew Alexander might describe him as an idealist, his friends and family understood well that Alexander was always in pursuit of life’s endless possibilities and opportunities available to him.

      Alexander was raised with 2. He had lincoln diaz and matthew diaz jr. Alexander was very accepting and supportive of his family. He was perceived as the central person in his family in terms of keeping communication open between the family members. Whenever discord or tension arose within the home, Alexander was typically the member who brought about resolution and harmony. These traits served Alexander well in his adult life and, along with his wit, outgoing personality, and understanding of others, drew the admiration of many who knew him.

      As a young boy, Alexander was able to empathize and identify with a vast array of people and personality types. This quality drew him into a diverse group of friends and acquaintances. Alexander was intelligent and had little trouble getting along with his peers. He was almost always the first to jump in when it came to playing games or participating in other childhood activities. In his spare time he liked to be outside and watch youtube. Alexander's memorable achievements included being a loving child to his family and brothers. Alexander had the ability to find amusement with almost any activity he and the many childhood friends he shared might discover.

      Because Alexander loved to have a broad variety of activities in his life, he took advantage of the opportunity to pursue numerous hobbies. His favorite pursuits were chasing lizards climbing trees playing outside watching youtube videos with his brother. Alexander had a knack for being able to multi-task in order to create time for all of his favorite pastimes. However, Alexander's ever-present concern for others always took precedent.

      Alexander was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. Ms. Sabrina she was a cat, was a best friend for 1 year and half. His family was rounded out by his his dogs minni and sophia and his fishies.

      Alexander Diaz passed away on March 31, 2018 at tampa general fl. Accidental. He is survived by matthew diaz gwendelynn donnelly matthew diaz jr and lincoln diaz. Services were held at blount and curry funeral home. Alexander was cremated.

      There was always a certain style and inventiveness to Alexander. He was a dynamic, self-expressive person who was forever looking to celebrate the endless possibilities life had to offer. He had a knack for being clever, creative and witty, and for others, was a joy to be around. While he was often fiercely independent, it seemed as if many others looked to Alexander Diaz for inspiration, leadership, wisdom and even courage. Alexander was always more than willing to share life’s experiences with his loved ones.
