Brian was a graduate of King High School, Tampa, and attended Hillsborough Community College and Erwin Technical School. He worked for many years in clerical support. He enjoyed past bowling leagues, watching sports—football, baseball, basketball, making trips to Wiregrass, Lowes, doing home improvement projects, and coffee trips to Starbucks and Dunkin'. He always enjoyed being with family, especially at holiday get-togethers.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Harry Vaughn Lane.
Survivors include his loving mother, Janet Dow, and stepfather, Michael Dow; sisters, Heather Lane Vanderveen (Marc) and Kelly Mayor (Robert); and nieces and nephews, Paige and Abby Vanderveen and Faith, Anamarie, Jude and Paul Mayor.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Friday, November 14, 2025 at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, located at 12690 N 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
A funeral service will be held at St Catherine's Episcopal Church, 502 Druid Hills Rd, Temple Terrace, FL 33617, on November 16, 2025, at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian's memory to the Marfan Foundation or to Metropolitan Ministries.
