I will always miss you. My uncle was a poet and writer. A great inspiration for me, I will always remember our trip across the country and  the sugar he liked in his coffee when we had to  stop for a  meal. Lone wolves.

We are very sorry to hear of the loss of Dan. He was a kind, supportive gentleman who loved music. He was a blessing to his family and his friends. We will miss him and pray that Jehovah God through his son Jesus Christ gives the family the comfort and strength they need during this difficult time. We can draw comfort from God’s promise at Revelation 21:4- “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.“

I spent a lovely holiday with Dan and Dor , when my children were very young. They were so excited they spent hours splashing in the swimming pool. I would rush out and tell them not to splash so much and Dan would run behind me say , “there kids let them enjoy themselves”. 
This is one of qualities I enjoyed about Dan, nothing was too much trouble and we both had mutual love for each other accents, I have an English accent and I enjoyed listening to his American accent. We both were thinking of setting up a group, but we never got round it!!!!    RIEP Dan

So happy that Dan is at peace and with the Lord. He was so lucky to have you in his life and what a great duo, you both were. He lived to 95yrs old because of your exceptional care and devotion to him. May he enjoy his new life above.

My dear Dorrett! You two complimented each so well. Thank you for the dinners, the field trips and the simply wonderful fun memories.

My brother, Dan was the firstborn of my mother’s three children from her first marriage.  After divorce entered their lives, Dan had to take on the job of Man of the house.  He had to comfort and care for Mom when she lost her little girl to diphtheria. Dan had to comfort his little brother, Tino as well.  
Dan had to grow up and take responsibility early, working at our Grandparent' Mortuary, doing all that was asked of him. He worked so his little brother could enjoy being a kid. Mom could depend on Dan coming to the rescue when needed.
He served his country by enlisting in the Army- Air Force during the Korean War, he suffered having to learn of the deaths of his buddies in that war.  Yet, throughout his life he always honored Mom by being there when we went our own way.
Dan became Mom’s care giver, requiring him to temporarily move to Los Angeles for a few months till Mom passed away in her own home while napping in her favorite chair.  Dan had prepared her breakfast, as she liked it that morning when he brought it to her when he found her.
Because of his selflessness
Devotion to honoring Mom and our grandparents Dan received the Biblical promise of long life.

 Ephesians 6:2-3 Standard Version 2016 (ESV)

“Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”

Dan was there for advice and support throughout my upbringing, schooling, induction into the US Army, and marriage.

Although we only had the chance to meet Dan once but spoke with him several times on the phone, and every time he was eager to chat in Spanish! We will always remember Dan, a friendly and kind person.

We will never forget Dan’s charm and smile nor his sense of wonder at the ancient history of our “Merry Old England “ as he used to say.  This led to the practice of him always addressing Juliet as ‘your ladyship’ and her calling him ‘your lordship’ and this continued through the many years across the miles in regular telephone conversations which we will now both sadly miss. We have lost a good friend but heaven has gained a perfect gentleman.
