Debbie had a love for her family like no other. She was the glue that held her family together—a sister to her friends and the best cheerleader to her loved ones. She always managed to stay in touch with those she cared about, offering a listening ear or a comforting hug when needed. She had an over-enthusiastic love for her grandchildren and doted over them any chance she had. She and her husband, David, spent time cooking together, becoming a harmonious team in the kitchen. Any baking mishap he made, she would fix with her decorating skills.
Her artistic talents knew no bounds; she explored countless mediums, mastering many. She loved creating unique pieces tailored to individual desires, too numerous to list. The treasures she left behind will forever be cherished.
She loved the natural beauty of her home state, New Mexico, with its majestic mountains, vibrant landscapes, and native artwork—an appreciation inspired by her childhood days at her grandmother's ranch.
She was preceded in death by her father, Al Marquez; sister, Dinah "Dee" Tapia; mother-in-law, Betty Aubrey; and father-in-law, Charles Aubrey.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, David T. Aubrey; daughters, Christine Aubrey Killinger (Robert) and Kelly Aubrey; mother, Mary Ann Marquez; brothers, John Arthur Marquez (Tracey), Mike Sanchez (Mary) and Alan Garcia (Ann); sisters, Yvonne Moore (John), Diane Estrada and Nila Newstrom-Anaya (Chris); and grandchildren, Josephine and Charles Killinger.
