

D was born in Connellsville, PA to Jacques Oran Easter and Ruth Carol Easter on September 17, 1952. She graduated in 1970 from Robinson High School in Tampa. On October 8, 1994, she married Kenneth Dorman in Tampa. D obtained her Master of Arts degree from Golden Gate University and her Doctor of Philosophy degree from LaSalle University. From early on in her career, she wanted to serve and protect others. In the 1970s, she was among the first of the female police officers at the Tampa Police Department. Thereafter, she worked as a deputy sheriff, and later detective in the fugitive investigation squad, at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
D loved her country and followed in her ancestors’ military service footsteps from the Vietnam War back to the Revolutionary War. She was a veteran who served in the United States Army in the reserves and on active duty at several locations, including U.S. Central Command at MacDill AFB and the Middle East. She had a passion for history and genealogical research. She was a Chairman of the Florida chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was also a member of several other historical societies. She received multiple military, law enforcement, and genealogical society honors, awards and achievements.
D is preceded in death by her mother and father.
D is survived by her husband Kenneth Dorman of Lithia, her daughter Jennifer Maddrey of Atlanta, GA, her sisters Jacqueline Easter of Tampa, Sherri Moore and Timmie Good of Indiana, and a number of nieces and nephews.
