

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edna Rivera, a truly remarkable woman whose love and selflessness touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Edna departed this world on September 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will forever be cherished.
Born on May 16, 1947. Edna was a beacon of love and devotion throughout her life. Her unwavering love for her family was evident in every action and gesture. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to nurturing her children, always putting their needs above her own. Her love was boundless, and her sacrifices immeasurable.
In addition to her role as a loving mother, Edna had a passion for crossword puzzles and cooking that brought joy to her and those around her. Her crossword prowess was legendary, and she relished the challenge of solving even the most enigmatic of clues. Her kitchen was a place of creativity and comfort, where she delighted in preparing delicious meals that brought family and friends together. Edna had a knack for making strangers become family
Edna had a heart of gold, and her giving nature extended beyond her immediate family. Always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Edna would open her kitchen to those who needed a hot meal and a mothers love. Her acts of kindness were numerous, and she touched the lives of many with her compassion and generosity.
Predeceased by her parents Julian Nunez and Maria Rodriguez, Son Michael Joseph Rivera, Sister Grace Notaro. She is survived by the love of her life for the past 53 years Felipe Rivera, Son David(Sofia) Rivera, Daughter Jennifer(Erik) Will and granddaughters Dana, Kara and Emma who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Edna's legacy of love, devotion, will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
A celebration of Edna's life will be held on October 21, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home in Temple Terrace. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to your local food bank or Feeding Tampa Bay in her honor.
Though Edna may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the love she shared, the puzzles she solved, and the meals she cooked. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, dear Edna. Your love and legacy will shine brightly in our hearts forever.
