Evelyn Mary McCambridge

Evelyn “Evie” McCambridge, 96, of Lutz, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was the matron of a family who called her mom, mem, or great memere. We loved her dearly and will miss her forever. May she rest in peace with her husband of 67 years, Horace J. McCambridge, who passed away on January 8, 2018.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Evelyn had been a resident of Florida since 1985 residing in Hypoluxo, Cape Coral, and Jensen Beach. Her final years were spent in Lutz, Florida with her daughter, Carlene.

Prior to her retirement, Evelyn was a Real Estate Entrepreneur alongside her husband Horace. They owned and managed properties and businesses which included McCambridge Mobile Home Park and H. McCambridge Oil Company in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She was the brains and he was the brawn in achieving success in all their businesses.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Carl T. McCambridge of Dadeville, Alabama, two daughters, Carol A. McCambridge of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and Carlene M. McCambridge of Lutz, Florida, seven grandchildren, April, Shane, Kara, Cher, Carla, Matthew, and Andrew, and 12 great grandchildren, Trace, Dylan, Vaughn, Ryan, Blake, McKenzie, Brady, Gavin, Jensen, Nathaniel, Julian, and Donovan.

Friends and Family are Invited to Attend Evelyn’s Celebration of Life on Saturday July 11, 2026 at 12 noon at Blount and Curry Memorial, 12690 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, Florida 33617

Refreshments and a light lunch buffet will be served immediately following the ceremony from 12:45 to 2:00 pm.
