

He was preceded in death by his parents, Esther Pearl Bland and Leon Kemper Bland, his sister, Joyce B. Smith, and grandson Michael.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon and Joyce Bland; his son, Mark Bland; his grandchildren, Adam (his wife Tran), Jacob (his wife Amanda), Ethan, Daniel, Matthew and Mckenzie Meyer; and his great-grandchildren, Oli, Miriam Esme, Axel, Shirley, Hank, Lola and Zayvier.
Glenn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
Glenn S Bland will be lovingly remembered as a devoted husband, father, and proud Navy Veteran. Married on April 8th 1969, shared 56 years of Marriage with Kumi who practiced Nichirens Diashonins Buddhism together in the pursuit of world peace and compassion for others. Glenn retired from the United States Navy as a Master Chief of 23 years. During his distinguished career, he served aboard nuclear submarines and courageously led his crew on missions through the early 1980's. His service reflected his strength, discipline, leadership and dedication that carried throughout his life. Glenn was a remarkable painter, woodworker, enjoyed grilling, baking, and cooking the best breakfast for his family. His beloved dog chibe and cat Chisai were faithful companions that stayed by his side. His memory will live on in the hearts of the family and friends who loved him, and will be deeply missed.
