

Henry C. Ehl, age 97, passed away April 02, 2015. He was born and raised in Fayette, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents John Leonard and Maggie Ehl by his brother L C Ehl, and by two wives, Mabel Dean and LaVera Ruth. He is survived by his wife Selma, son Michael (Belinda) , Daughter Patricia ( Jim), daughter Janice, son, William (Myra), 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He lived a long and full life, and came from an era where he would spend every spring from age 10 working 12 hours a day plowing a field behind a mule and his family transportation was by horse and wagon to a time where he could work with a computer and he owned a hybrid car. He was drafted into the army in June 1941 and was honorably discharged in Dec 1945 with a rank of 1st Lt. Following his time in the service he and his wife moved to Tampa. He owned a printing business for several years but in 1956 changed careers and worked for the Hillsborough County school system as an elementary school principal until he retired at age 65. Retirement gave him time to enjoy fishing, travel and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral Service will be April 10, 205 3:00PM at Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Funeral Home.
