In moments of loss, we take comfort in the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita:
“न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचित्
नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूयः।”
(The soul is never born, nor does it ever die. It is eternal and everlasting.)
He shared a beautiful life with his wife of more than 50 years, our mother, who preceded him in passing on September 10, 2023. Together they built a family grounded in love, dedication, and strength.
He devoted his career to civil engineering with Sarasota County Government, where his passion for engineering shaped both his profession and his life. Even after retirement, his love for learning and teaching continued as he shared his knowledge with students at colleges in Ahmedabad, India.
He found joy in traveling, reading technical books, and spending time with those he loved most. As one of the few Indian families living in Sarasota County during those early years, he helped build a life and legacy defined by perseverance, education, and family.
He will be remembered for his intellect, his quiet strength, and his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Dr. Rajendra and Kalpa Solanki, and Dr. Kalpesh and Christine Solanki; and his daughter and son-in-law, Anjana and Rob Swann; and his six cherished grandchildren—Kaveen Solanki, Timir Solanki, Maeghan Solanki, Asha Swann, Jaina Swann, and Ethan Swann—who will continue to carry forward his values and memory.
The immediate family would also like to extend a special and heartfelt acknowledgment to Atul and Kalpana Solanki and their children, Aaj and Anita, for their unwavering love and support.
May his soul attain eternal peace.
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
