

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Groff Sr. at the age of 95. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Mike leaves behind a legacy of love and respect that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Mike lived a long and fulfilling life marked by dedication to his family. He married his beloved wife Ramona in 1955, raising their family in Miami, FL. He was the proud father of two children, Michael Jr. (Tammy) and Ellen Holcomb, who brought him immense joy and pride throughout his life. His love extended to his only grandchild, Ivy (Matt), and his great-grandson, Jack, with whom he cherished every moment.
Mike spent more than 35 years as an independent insurance agent in Miami & Tampa, selling benefits and life insurance and was known for his unwavering integrity and honesty.
His later years were spent at Concordia Village of Tampa where he lived independently until his death. Those who had the privilege of knowing him will remember his gentle spirit, quiet strength, and wonderful humor. There he made terrific new friends who he cherished, loved and respected greatly.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ramona, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and devotion.
A Korean War veteran, serving in the US Air Force at SAC Headquarters, Mike will be buried in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with his wife.
