James graduated in 1959, from Hillsborough High School and graduated in 1964, from University of Florida. He worked with Westinghouse Electric Corp for 25 years as an engineer in sales in Chattanooga, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Tampa. He formed Qualitec Company as a manufacturing rep serving the southern states until he retired. He made many friends throughout his career.
Jim was a charter member of the Temple Terrace Rotary Club and former member of the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club.
Jim is predeceased by his father, James A. Hipshire; mother, Bertha Cardwell Hipshire; brother, Douglas and nephew, Johnny. He leaves behind his former wife and life partner, Louise; nephew, Alan; niece, Susanne and several cousins and friends.
Jim loved to laugh and never met a stranger.
A celebration of life will be held on March 28, 2026 at 2 pm at Blount and Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, Temple Terrace.
