

Jeanette was born in Palm River to Melvin and Christie Neel on February 1, 1927. She grew up in the Tampa area and attended Hillsborough High School. She married Charles LeRoy Bennett on March 7. 1943 in Tampa, FL. She spent years as a homemaker, then worked for the Nestle Company in Atlanta, and later owned a book bindery in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She loved flowers and spent countless hours working in her garden, she was a member of the Seminole Heights Garden Club. She loved spending time with her family. She was a long-time member of the Forest Hills Church of Christ.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Christie Neel; Sister Dorothy Oliver; and Brother, Glenn Neel.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Richard Bennett and Kenneth Bennett; Daughter in Law Peggy Bennett; Sister Barbara Reed; 3 grandchildren, Brent Bennett (Dana), Trina Weatherly, and Brian Bennett (Pam); 5 great grandchildren, Sadie Bennett, Michael Weatherly, Lauren Weatherly, Ashley Kumar (Barnabas), Whitney Bartlett (Brian); and 2 great-great grandchildren, Wyatt and Rhett. Jeanette is loved and will be missed by a large extended family.
Pallbearers will be Brent Bennett, Brian Bennett, Michael Weatherly, Daniel Reed, Philip Rymal, and Tim Cline.
Visitation will be 5-8pm, Friday, April 4, 2025, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Terrace Oaks Chapel, 12690 N 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617
Funeral services will be held 11am, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Forest Hills Church of Christ with Jason Longstreth officiating. Burial will follow at Seffner Cemetery.
