With love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Kai-Kai Chang, who passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026 at the age of 72.
Born in Taiwan on July 13,1954, she grew up in a loving family with four siblings whose close bond remained one of life’s greatest blessings. Known for her intelligence and curiosity from an early age, she earned admission to National Taiwan University, Taiwan’s most prestigious university. She had a lifelong passion for learning and approached her profession with exceptional discipline, dedication, and hard work. Through perseverance and a strong work ethic, she built a successful career while earning the respect and admiration of those who knew and worked with her.
Family was the center of her life. She treasured the family’s annual reunions and happily hosted many of them. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. To them, she was their beloved “Sahn Ah-Yee” and “Sahn Goo-Goo”(3rd Auntie), whose deep love, care, encouragement, and unconditional support will always be remembered.
Gifted with a lifelong passion for dance, she devoted many years to learning both ballroom and line dancing. As a dedicated member of her local line dance group, she volunteered, welcomed and taught new dancers, choreographed dance routines, and composed music for the group. Through her creativity, kindness, and dedication, she built lasting friendships and brought joy to many.
She found peace in gardening, where her yard became her sanctuary, and volunteered for many years at the local university butterfly garden. She also had a special love for animals, especially
her beloved cats, Sameo and Pixie. Sameo, whom she rescued as a tiny stray kitten, held a particularly special place in her heart.
She will be remembered for her passionate spirit, generous heart, and her lifelong commitment to helping others. Though we mourn her passing, we are deeply grateful for the joy, kindness, and love she shared throughout her life.
She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
