KONICEK, Karel, 87, passed away June 15, 2015. Karel was born August 2, 1927 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Following WWII, he immigrated to Brazil, where he met his wife Irma in Rio de Janeiro. They later immigrated to the US and were married in New York City on March 17, 1956. After living in Minneapolis and Kansas City, they moved to Florida, where they resided for over 50 years. Karel was the long-time President of Chemical Tank Lines before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma and son, Karel. He is survived by his sons, Robert and Richard; and sister, Helena Pelikanova. A celebration of life will be held at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 18th at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 Druid Hills Road, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
