A soft spoken man, whose life spoke volumes. Levi didn’t seek fortune or fame, but would tell you, “I have riches untold.“ He was a “pillar“ in our family community. He wasn’t a banker, but he lent to many. He wasn’t a Man of the Cloth, but was known as a Man of God. He never rose to the rank of General, but he was a patriot, leaving a full music scholarship at the University of Florida to proudly serve his Country in the U.S. Air Force, during World War II. Levi wasn’t a saint, but was said to have had the patience of Job. He wasn’t a teacher, though he taught by example. He was never the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, but he was a company man, having retired from TECO after 35 years of service. He never gave unsolicited advice, but many sought his counsel. Levi never cut a record, but when he sang, the Angels stopped to listen.
A graduate of Plant City High School, he was a member of Key Club, Victory Corp. Company A, Drill Corp Band and Spanish Club. He also played saxophone and clarinet in a swing band as well as being voted best dressed by his senior class.
Beside his Vialee, he was predeceased by one daughter, Sherry Walker. He leaves behind two daughters, Terry (David) Hoak, St. Augustine, FL; and Christy (Ron) Solomon, Tampa, FL. His passing also leaves a void in the lives of his only granddaughter and great-granddaughter, Sunshine and Alexandria Windsor, Franklin, NC, as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Please join us as we remember a man who touched and enriched many lives during his. A Celebration of Life will be held at Landmark Baptist Church, 6021 Williams Road, Seffner, FL at 11 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
