Mary Ann was born in Richmond, VA and lived in Charlotte, NC, Cockeysville, MD, and Atlanta, GA while growing up. They lived in Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and, finally, Florida.
She passed away after nearly four years of fighting cancer. In addition to being a loving and committed sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and animal owner, she was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church in Tampa and, before that, Mandarin Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, FL. Her life will be severely missed by those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her selflessness, her smile, and her seemingly unending love for others.
Mary Ann’s life was celebrated on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Saint James United Methodist Church in Tampa, and she was laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Atlanta. She requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Saint James Methodist Church’s ‘HeartFelt’ program or to World Vision, the Christian humanitarian organization.
Our sister, mother, Mimi, and friend will be truly missed.
