He was a 1962 graduate of Hillsborough High School; served in the US Air Force from 1962-1969 and was a Vietnam Veteran. Paul was active in amateur radio; his call sign was KD4OPT. He enjoyed flying remote controlled model airplanes.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and his son-in-law, Alex Fernandez.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 1/2 years, Marge Wiese; daughters, Jackie Maloy (Jay) and Michelle Fernandez; brother, David E. Wiese (Janie) of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Danielle and James Maloy, Kristopher Wiese (Sami) and Alexus Gonzalez (Sergio Pardo); and great-granddaughter, Emily Mae Pardo-Gonzalez.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
