A loving mother and grandmother, Pearl was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1937 to parents Carl and Elsie Jenkins. Spending her early childhood in Springfield, Massachusetts, the family ultimately made Tampa their home in 1946. Pearl eventually became a proud member of the Hillsborough High School class of 1955. She was also a member of Idlewild Baptist Church from 1946 until her passing.
She is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Elsie Jenkins; siblings Carl Jenkins II, and Betty Jean Register; and husbands Robert Branch, Albert Ficca, and Jesse Waldron.
A devoted mother to Albert Waldron (w. Rebecca) and Greg Waldron (w. Lisa), and loving grandmother to John Waldron. She treasured her family and embraced every moment that she had with them. She was blessed with a caring heart and a fun-loving, vivacious, personality that affected
everyone around her and always made people smile.
Pearl worked various jobs in her earlier life, making lasting friends in every place she worked. She finished the last two decades of her career at Hillsborough Community College (Brandon) where she was well known and greatly loved.
Per her request, in place of a “depressing funeral” (her words), there will be a Celebration of her life on Saturday, September 9th from 12-4 at Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Funeral Home, 12690 N. 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.
