Phillip Ottis Shadid

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Phillip. Although his time with us was far too short, he leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, and moments that will forever be a part of our family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Phillip was truly one of a kind. He was an incredibly intelligent man with a big personality, a sharp mind, and an energy that made him unforgettable. He loved learning new things, especially when it came to computers and technology. He was always curious, always thinking, and always ready to share what he knew.

Phillip was also an online influencer and avid gamer, building connections with people who shared his interests and passions. Through his online presence, he became part of a community that knew him, engaged with him, and appreciated the personality he brought to the digital world. His passing has deeply saddened members of that community, a testament to the connections he made and the impact he had beyond his immediate circle of family and friends. Though many of those connections may have started behind a screen, the friendships and memories were real, and his presence will be missed.

And if you knew Phillip, you knew he LOVED a good debate! He enjoyed challenging people’s opinions, defending his own, and making sure he got his point across. You could always count on him to have something to say, and he certainly wasn’t afraid to speak his mind! His strong opinions, quick thinking, and love for a good back-and-forth were just a few of the things that made him uniquely Phillip.

A proud Carolina Panthers fan, Phillip enjoyed his football and had his own way of experiencing life. He also treasured his independence and loved spending time in his own space, exploring his interests, gaming, and learning something new. He knew how to enjoy his own company, but those who knew him best will always remember the personality, humor, and unmistakable presence he brought into the lives of others.

And let’s not forget the mischievous little boy he once was! That playful spirit was a part of his story, and the memories of his childhood antics will forever bring smiles to the faces of those who watched him grow. Some things never change, and Phillip’s one-of-a-kind personality was certainly one of them!

Beneath his intelligence, strong opinions, and independent nature was a man who was loyal to the people he loved. Family mattered, and the connections he shared with those closest to him will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Phillip leaves behind his loving mother, Rita Hill, and stepfather, Bobby Hill; his sister, Christina Shadid; his stepbrother, Jeff Hill; his brother-in-law, Angel Samaniego; his beloved niece, Alicia Samaniego; his nephews, Joshua Samaniego and Jacob Samaniego; and his great-niece, Eliana Mae Bennett. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and members of his online community who will forever cherish his memory.

Phillip’s life reminds us that people don’t have to be like everyone else to leave a lasting impression.

Sometimes, it’s the big personalities, the spirited conversations, the unexpected humor, the shared passions, and the little things that make someone unforgettable. Phillip made his mark in his own way, both in person and online, and the love and sadness expressed by those who knew him reflect just how many lives he touched.

Phillip, you were truly one of a kind. Your intelligence, your strong opinions, your love of learning, your passion for gaming, your loyalty, and that unmistakable energy that made you you will never be forgotten. Your nieces, nephews, and great-niece will carry the family memories forward, your friends will remember the conversations and laughter you shared, and your online community will miss the presence you brought to their world.
