Randald served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Long Beach, California, where he began his family with Sandra Jean Wolford. Together they welcomed four children, including the heartbreaking loss of one as a baby, Rhonda Bartlett. Following his military service, Randald worked for International Telephone & Telegraph, continuing a steady and dedicated work life marked by responsibility and commitment.
He later returned to Tampa to work alongside his father, Jamie Bartlett, at Bartlett and Sons Railroad Contractor. After retiring from railroad work, Randald went on to serve as superintendent for the construction of the University of South Florida President home on campus. In addition, Randald, along with family members, maintained rental property—another reflection of his practical care for providing and building for the future.
Randald was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Jean Bartlett; his son, Tracy Bartlett; his brothers, Gerald Bartlett and Richard Bartlett; and his granddaughter, Kirsten Bernheim.
He is survived by his son, Gregory Bartlett; his daughter, Diana Bartlett; his grandchildren, Anne Marie Lightfoot, Randald Kirk Bartlett, Kipp Bartlett, and Jena Bartlett; and also by 11 great-grandchildren.
Randald will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell.
