Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joan DeStasio Doerr; his son, Robert "Robbie" James DeStasio; and his Godfather and namesake, Dominic DiStasio.
Survivors include Bob's loving wife of 67 years Geraldine "Gerry" DeStasio; his two daughters, Renee DeStasio Herrmann and Diana Marie DeStasio Rego (Michael Rene Rego); and his five grandchildren, Christopher Michael Herrmann, Jennifer Marie Herrmann, Dr. Angelica Marie Rego, LTJG USN Dominic Michael Rego and Nicolas Joseph Rego. He is also survived by many loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, May, 11, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks, 12690 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, FL 33617. Following the visitation will be a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9715 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, FL 33617. Entombment will follow the Mass at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 12609 Memorial Drive, Trinity, FL 34655.
