Ronald “Ron” Charles McCarthy, 78, born in Yonkers, NY passed peacefully, at home, surrounded by family on September 2, 2025.

Ron is a ‘65 graduate of Yorktown High School and a ‘67 Graduate of Westchester Community College with an AA Liberal Arts Degree. A Vietnam Veteran, Ron enlisted in ‘67 and served in the United States Air Force. Ron was a successful entrepreneur and kitchen designer leading the New York family businesses, “Bil - Mac Kitchens, Inc.” and “Bil - Mac Fencing, Inc.” Ron was recognized as a top distributor of Wood-Mode Cabinets in Hopewell Junction, NY. Moving to Tampa in the early 90's, he began a second career as a computer programmer then working for Geonics, Inc. and ABR, Inc. Ron served on the Board of Directors in The River Oaks Condominiums. He started TALogic - My Community, an HOA/COA management company, developing and marketing a software program to manage HOA/COA communities on-line. Ron was a skilled skier and ski instructor, golfer, and avid bridge player.

Ron is predeceased by his parents Charles and Josephine McCarthy and brother Thomas. Ron is survived by his friend and long-time companion, Jan Mazur, son Thomas (Gina) McCarthy, daughter Kellie McCarthy - Hall (Trevor), five grandchildren, Alyssa Bernard (Justin), Gino Watson, Michael McCarthy, Evan Hall, Thomasina McCarthy, great-grandchildren Nicolena Palmateer, Malaina and Reina Bernard, brothers Andrew, Christopher, and Charles McCarthy, and nieces Casey, Jennifer, Caitlin, and Danielle.

A private military interment will be held at a later date.
