Sara was my first and became my best friend when my family moved to Southport, IN over 70 years ago when we started 5th grade. In warm weather we walked home so we could stop at a little store that had a cooler with orange ice cream bars.  In High School we shared Art class; she had an artistic bent and was a wonderful designer of women's fashions.  Her college degree was from Ball State Un. in Indiana where she studied social work  She met Mark Nuttall who taught her how to fly fish. ( I can't imagine her in hip boots with a rod in her hand!)  She became a single Mom  and raised Laurie and John with very hard work, dedication, and imagination.  The internet made it possible for us to keep in touch regularly by e-mail sharing our good times and not so good times. I miss her daily.

Sara attended our church a number of years ago. I am the lay leader at Hillsborough United Methodist Church. She was a kind woman and I know she will be dearly missed. May Sara rest in peace eternal.
