Shanmugalingam Arumugam passed on September 23, 2026, at the age of 93. He will be remembered with love by his family and all those whose lives he touched.

Shanmugalingam Arumugam, born on July 15, 1933, in Kandarmadam , Jaffna, Sri Lanka, to Kasipillai Arumugam and Thangam.

A man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, a home buddy who loved watching sports such as Tennis, soccer and cricket. These interests brought him enjoyment and reflected the activities he cherished throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sundarakshmi, with whom he shared a meaningful part of his life and his beloved sisters Maheswari and Devi.

Shanmugalingam's memory will be treasured by his daughter, Vasumathy, son in law Rohan Asokkumar and his beloved grandchildren Hari and Vaishali whom he loved dearly. He is also remembered by his sister-in-law Varalakshmi, and his daughter Kumari.

Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his family. His life and legacy will remain a cherished part of the family he leaves behind.

A funeral service honoring Shanmugalingam Arumugam will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Terrace Oaks in Temple Terrace, Florida.

Family and friends are welcome to gather to pay their respects and celebrate his life.
