Nguyen Van Thiet, 75, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on January 23, 2026. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he will be remembered for his honesty, humility, integrity, compassion, and courage—qualities that guided his life and inspired all who knew him.
Born on April 21, 1950, in Vietnam, he experienced a lifetime marked by perseverance and quiet strength. His early years were shaped by the rich culture and traditions of his homeland, which he carried with him throughout his life. He learned from a young age the value of hard work, character, and family unity, lessons that he later passed down to his children and grandchildren.
After moving to the United States, he built a life rooted in love and dedication. He shared many happy years with his devoted wife, Nguyen Thi Kim Yen, and together they created a warm and nurturing home. His role as a father was one he cherished deeply, guiding his children with patience and wisdom. He set an enduring example for his family through his actions rather than his words—through his unwavering integrity, his willingness to lend a helping hand, and his steadfast belief in doing what was right, even when no one was watching.
He had a quiet but profound love for simple pleasures. He found joy in gardening, where he patiently nurtured life and beauty from the earth. His garden was a place of peace and reflection, filled with the fruits of his care. He also loved fishing, an activity that allowed him to slow down, enjoy nature, and often return home with stories and laughter to share. Above all, spending time with his grandchildren brought him the greatest happiness. Whether teaching them about the world, listening to their dreams, or simply being present, he treasured every moment of togetherness.
Those who knew him describe him as a man of unshakeable character—someone who led with kindness, treated others with respect, and believed deeply in the values of family and compassion. His presence touched those who knew him, and his memory continues to live on in their hearts. His courage, both quiet and steadfast, carried his loved ones through life’s challenges and triumphs alike.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Nguyen Thi Kim Yen; his children, Nguyen Tan Loc (daughter in-law, Nguyen Thi Luom), Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy (son in-law, Tran Van Di), Nguyen Quoc Phong (daughter in-law, Huynh My Hanh), Nguyen Quoc Vinh (daughter in-law, Nguyen Thi Truc Mai), and Nguyen Quoc My (daughter in-law, Phan Thi Thu Thuy); and his eight cherished grandchildren, who will continue to honor his memory through their own lives and legacy.
His life was a testament to the quiet power of goodness. His memory will continue to grow and flourish, much like the garden he tended so faithfully, reminding us all of the beauty of a life lived with integrity and care. His presence on earth will be missed but never forgotten.
Funeral service will be held on January 31, 2026, at 10:00AM - Blount & Curry Funeral Home – 12690 N. 56th Street, Temple Terrace, Florida 33617.
