Barbara Jorene Oswalt Fielding

Barbara, or Jorene as she was known to friends and family, was born on April 9, 1935 in Killeen, Texas to John and Ocie Oswalt. She married Rev. Arlie R. Fielding on January 4, 1954 and faithfully served the Lord by his side until his death in December of 2010. Jorene’s love of music was demonstrated as she served as pianist along with Arlie as he pastored and spread God’s word. She most recently worshiped and played at Wildwood Baptist Church in Temple, the church she dearly loved. Mrs. Fielding also worked for Scott & White Hospital for more than 25 years until her retirement in April of 1997.

Jorene is survived by her daughter, Darla Coufal and her husband Garry of Burleson, as well as four grandchildren, Buck Coufal, Jalynn Crummel, Jeremy Riegel, and Brian Riegel.

Services for Mrs. Fielding will be held on Friday, July 25 at 10:00 AM at Wildwood Baptist Church in Temple with Pastor Elton Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
