Betty Pelts

Betty grew up in Cottonwood, New Mexico and graduated from Artesia High School. She was the youngest of 11 siblings. After high school she married David Pelts in 1959 in Artesia. Together they had two children, Carolyn and Mark. They moved to Levelland, Texas and moved to Wichita Falls in 1968 and finally settling in Odessa, Texas. Betty later moved to Austin to be closer to her children. Betty was a housekeeper and homemaker. She loved to play the piano, loved her cats and loved collecting recipe books. She was a loving mother who will be missed by all who knew her.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Loudie Laman, several siblings and many other relatives.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and husband Steve, son Mark Pelts, grandson, Justin and wife Joanna, grandchildren, Jaina Veal, Jolee Veal, Jewell Veal and her siblings and other family and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Joanne for taking such good care and being there for her the last few years.
