Bobbe Jean McDonnold

Bobbe J. McDonnold passed away October 12, 2026. She was born on September 20, 1930 to Nell and R. James Roberts in Houston, Texas. On September 11, 1948, she married John Fletcher McDonnold in Austin, Texas.

Mrs. McDonnold held two degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma, a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling. She taught in Oklahoma schools for over twenty years.

At a young age, she was a Power's model and appeared in Seventeen magazine and photo magazines. She was employed by the Pagano Studios of New York City as a photographic model.

Mrs. McDonnold served as a Regent of Samuel King Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Edmond, Oklahoma. She served her church as a member of the altar guild, as a Sunday school teacher.

Mrs. McDonnold was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her only son, Jay. She is survived by her daughter, Lyn Mcdonnold of Georgetown, Texas, grandson, David of Cedar Park, Texas, and a grandson, Jacob who resides in Loveland, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

Visitation will be held at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Temple on October 15, 2026 from noon until 2:00 PM. Private graveside services will be held at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
