Gayle Ann Bergstrom

Gayle Ann Bergstrom, age 77 of Temple passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at home while working in her flower beds which was an activity she loved. Gayle, lovingly known as Nana, was born in St. Cloud, MN to Robert and Ardis Fuchs. She married her best friend Gary Bergstrom on September 9, 1967. She was a loving and caring mom, Nana, and friend to many.

Gayle was a soccer mom, team manager for Centex soccer, a volunteer for WildFlower Belles and a sorority member. She was the biggest fan of her children and grandchildren. She was always in the stands or on the sidelines cheering them on.

Gayle was outgoing, friendly and had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was an amazing aunt, sister, and friend. She had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor.

Gayle was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Gary Bergstrom, her parents Robert and Ardis Fuchs of Sauk Centre, MN, her brothers Dars Fuchs of Maple Grove, MN and Clayton Fuchs of Mound, MN, in-laws Oscar & Lorraine Bergstrom of Little Falls, MN, sister-in-law Judy Ahlgren of Fairmont, MN and brother-in-law Lee Bergstrom of Brainerd, MN.

We are deeply grateful for every day that we got to hear her laugh, listen to her uncensored view on life and her uncanny ability to entertain us all. We will miss her more than words can express.

She is survived by her children Jeff (Wendy), Chad and Nathan; grandchildren Cory, Zak, Kyrie (Dylan) Turner, Nic and Katie; Great Grandchildren Kaci, June and Sloane; brother Gary (Carol) Fuchs and sister Jan (Tom) Meyer; sister-in-law Dawn Fox; brother-in-law Robert (Sandie) Bergstrom; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Temple, TX, on July 31, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Heart Association in her name.
