George B. Williams

George B. Williams, age 91 of Rogers, passed away in his home October 28. A visitation for Mr. Williams will be held Friday, November 1 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Temple. Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 2 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Taplin View Cemetery of Rogers.

George was born December 7, 1921 in McGregor, Texas to Nora Williams, Sr. and Adell Armstead Manuell. He was a World War II veteran and he retired from Scott and White Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Lillian Metters of Dallas, Bernice Brown Allen of Rogers, Zelma Reed of Dallas; brothers S. A. Brown of Temple, Nora E. Williams, Jr., and a son, Curtis L. Norman of Rogers.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Williams of Oklahoma City; a sister, Maggie B. Perry of Mart; two brothers, Joseph J. Williams, Sr. of McGregor and Willie F. Williams, Sr. of Waco; nephews, Paul Brown, Sr. of Rogers, David Carothers of Chicago, Paul Brown, Jr. of Temple, David Daniels of Duncanville, Devon Chappell of Killeen, Donovan Chappel of Temple, Michael Anderson, Jr. of Waco, and Paul Brown III of Waco; nieces Susan Bevel of Snellville, Georgia, Patsy Metters of Dallas, Kimberly O’Mard of Killeen, Nakeisha Washington of Houston, Lavena Brown of Temple, and a host of other family members and friends.
