

Temple - Funeral services for Gerry Wallace, 93, of Temple will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Chapel in Temple. Reverend Hubert Austin, Rev. Tom Robbins and Rev. Jane Woodward will officiate. Burial will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
Miss Wallace died Sunday at her home in Temple.
Born to William and Myrtle Wallace, August 17, 1917, Gerry grew up in Copperas Cove and graduated from High School in 1934.
She moved to Houston in 1936, and worked as a sales clerk in a local suppermarket while attending Massey Business College. In 1942, she was employed by Western Auto, and in 1974 moved with the company to Temple. She retired in 1982 after 40 years of service.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class of Temple, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Arvel and Melton, sisters in law Bertie and Erna, and her nephew, John Wallace. She is survived by her niece, Karen King and her husband, Jim, and two great nephews, Scott and Daniel King.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, The Friendship Sunday School Class, Vista Care Hospice, or charity of your choice.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home.
